Clinical Design Technologies LTD (CDT) design and manufacture digital, point-of-care urine test solutions. Our focussed expertise includes human centred product design and development in the medical technology sector. We have worked side by side with healthcare professionals and microbiologists to understand the challenges being faced by clinicians. This resulted in the creation of a streamlined, hygienic, digital urine testing system, designed to improve clinician experience and confidence in urine testing at point-of-care.
Introducing the world’s only digital closed urine testing system, offering unmatched clinical efficacy, simplicity and accuracy. UTS™ streamlines the process, providing accurate and reliable results for healthcare professionals. Its advanced technology ensures precise results and empowers informed decision-making. Not only does it enhance clinical outcomes, but it also optimises resource allocation, reducing costs.
UTS™ is an ideal choice for urine testing at point of care; it is the only solution capable of delivering fast, Right First Time™ urinalysis results by virtue of its closed system design that isolates the sample from exposure, transforming the uncertainty and inconsistency of manual process to a new digital standard of clinical best practice.
CDT developed a system by which you simply insert a urine sample with a UTS-10 Cap™ single-use testing cap attached, and accurate urinalysis results are produced and displayed digitally. Each of UTS’s push-fit UTS-10 Cap™ single-use testing caps contain the essential reagent pads for 10 test parameters: Leukocytes, Nitrite, Glucose, Protein, pH, Blood, Specific Gravity, Ketone, Bilirubin and Urobilinogen.
UTS removes the subjectivity of human interpretation and automates and streamlines the testing process, providing accurate, repeatable and reliable results for healthcare professionals. Its advanced technology ensures precise results and empowers informed decision making. Its digital precision enables consistent, reproducible best clinical practice and a standardised format for conducting clinical reviews and compliance audits, at scale. Quality data recording can enable early identification and even predication of changes in health, generate real-time alerts and trigger proactive, disease prevention measures.
